I could not get WusikStation 2.x to install on my Receptor, but I did get the 1.x version working (actually ManyStation, but of course that's the same thing).
Anyone out there gotten WusikStation 2.x working on Receptor?

As far as I know, all you have to do is more all files to Receptor and run the VSTi. It will ask where the DATA files are, you select and should be ready to go.

HI will
to be honest, I have not installed ver 2 yet on receptor, but may try it. Ver 1.xx works great however.If it is not working, my guess is the specialized browser that is integral part of ver 2, but may not work on receptor.

Tim, the code used for the File-Browser, that reads the list of files and directories, is the same one used to create the V1 menu-system. I just ported that to the graphic system, without using any extra windows based stuff. So it should work with Receptor Linux based system.
I can't think on anything that would not let WS V2 run on receptor, that's why I need more information on what's going on. Error messages, files missing, etc ...

That's exactly what I did. After doing the "install" with "Unsupported Plugins" checked, Receptor says "Success". Then I launch Wusik and the Receptor reboots when you go into "edit" for it. Even after clearing the plugin cache and a full shutdown/cold startup, same thing.WilliamK wrote:As far as I know, all you have to do is more all files to Receptor and run the VSTi. Did the same process to install V1.x and it worked just fine. I think it did prompt me the first time for the Wusikstation Data directory.
On a related note, WilliamK can you tell me: Are the "HQ Piano" sets compatible with V1.x or do they require 2.x. I've begun using my Receptor live and the PMI Bosendorfer is just too hard on the CPU to be used in a multi live. I was hoping to perhaps use the HQ Wusik pianos instead.
Thanks!

I looked in the System.log after trying to launch Wusik and getting the reboot, and though it's all greek to me, these are the lines that I believe are related to the reboot:
Nov 7 13:38:30 Receptor-227375 smb: nmbd startup succeeded
Nov 7 13:38:33 Receptor-227375 rm-host: source/VstPlugin.cpp::SetEnabled[995]: assertion failed
Nov 7 13:38:34 Receptor-227375 rm-host: HostApp.cpp::HandleEvent[841]: rm-host ready
Nov 7 13:38:34 Receptor-227375 rm-host: System Temperature: 50C (122F)
Nov 7 13:39:02 Receptor-227375 rm-host: wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger...
Nov 7 13:39:02 Receptor-227375 rm-host: wine client error:9: write: Bad file descriptor
Nov 7 13:39:04 Receptor-227375 start-receptor: rm-host session ended
Like I said, doesn't mean much to me! I can send you my entire system.log file if you need it, or if it would help.
Maybe Tim C can also try this on his Receptor and see if he gets the same results as I did.

That's where it crashed, but there is no useful info before or after.Hybernation wrote:Nov 7 13:39:02 Receptor-227375 rm-host: wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger...

Indeed, it looks likes its crashing pretty badly, but no clue on why. Strange is that for all our Windows clients its rock-solid.
The HQ Pianos SOUNDS will work with V1, but NOT the PRESETS. So you have to create your own presets.

I don't know receptor at all, so I need some extra info.Hybernation wrote:That's exactly what I did. After doing the "install" with "Unsupported Plugins" checked, Receptor says "Success". Can you play the plugin without problems, but it crashes when you try to open the GUI?

Or even faster, if you send us the Wus2 software, we can find out why its crashing and even build a prep installer for it if needed.WilliamK wrote:Unless Muse gives me a free Receptor, I can't debug this.![]()
