Hello :)

I have been making a small acoustic drum kit – one of many no doubt ;) anyhow this is a very quick demo from the RM4 version.

http://spe3d.com/audio/Spe3d_DrumKitDemo1_RM4.mp3 (a few k in size) AS IS no effects added to project – just put the sore in and rendered – this is what it sounds like (demo no.2 on this link http://spe3d.com/audio/Spe3d_DrumKitDemo2_RM4.mp3 again AS IS nothing in the way of fx added in the project)

The drum kit comprises of

1x 10 inch snare (11 layers)
1x 12 inch tom (7 layers)
1x 13 inch tom (8 layers)
1x 16 inch tom (6 layers)
1x 20 inch bass/kick (5 layers)

1x open 14 inch hat (6 layers)
1x 16 inch crash (9 layers)
1x 20 inch ride (5 layers)

1x side stick off the snare (1 layer)

Remo Heads top n bottom

all high tensioned and hit with a nylon tip drumstick – they are in stereo so the drums appear in their respective places.

This was recorded with a number of mics, in 24 bit at a high resolution and down sampled to 44.1 24 Bit for the kits.

Thanks guys :D

Ok, I just finished the DR-008 mapping and also the sfz mapping – so I should have those uploaded in the next few hours.

There will be two archives – one containing the 24 bit wave samples (naming convention for those is ‘thedrumtype_headsize_sticktype_velolayer.wav’) including the DR-008 and SFZ mapping, this will be available from the audioshots.com site (about 69 MB compressed) – the RM-4 kit (though the same waves only compresses to 91 MB so this will be available in the auditorium.

I will update this thread when they are good to go :D

Best regards,

Peter

Thank you Max :)

I love cymbals – I got a few here that I am going to be recording – the next version (V2) will have a closed hat with some variations between (I could probably do a whole array of samples just with the hats as there is an almost infinitesimal amount of variations that can be achieved ) I will see what I can come up with there :D

Best regards,

Peter
