Wusik 2.x on Receptor?

I don't know receptor at all, so I need some extra info.

Can you play the plugin without problems, but it crashes when you try to open the GUI?

Well, when it installs, it doesn't install any "patches", so I have to open the GUI in order to select one. When v1.x installs, it DOES actually build the default patch bank (so you can play it without opening the GUI, but of course opening the GUI is fine in 1.x). Funny that V2.x would not install on TC's machine. I think we are both on 1.4 BETA OS, right Tim?

From my initial inspection of W2 on Receptor:

W2 requires a bunch of registry entries in order for it to work on a receptor which includes paths to DATA directories, SN#, FileBrowser, ConfigPage settings and so on. W2 wont work on a receptor using the unsupported method. It has to be supported by Muse.

But thats the thing, V1 uses the SAME stuff and it works. Is actually the SAME code I'm using on V1 to V2. The thing is that V2 only crashes when the GUI is opened. Remember that you need to edit the INI file with the Serial-Number in order to work.

That part was new information to me, so I tried reinstalling and I put in the ini file edited to contain my serial #.
Same result as before unfortunately. Installs fine. Plays the "init" patch. Reboots receptor when I launch the GUI.

You don't "HAVE" to do that, it just helps. If you don't, when you open the GUI, it asks for the SN, but doesn't crash. V1 I mean. Something that we added on the V2 GUI is causing the crash I guess, but I don't know what exactly.

we tried it..and it failed on his receptor..did not even install

so maybe the official musers can get it working. But ver 1.xx works great on it.!

Version 1.x sounds great! I really like that plug-in! Great value, too. Once there's a working version 2 for the Receptor, I'm upgrading. Nice stuff.

OK. I dont know how V1 worked well without those entries in the receptor registry. I clearly see these entries on a windows registry. I'll look into it more closely when i get a chance. When u have sometime, you can do a test running V1 and V2 on a windows machine by deleting all registry entries and see if they work. My guess is they wont.

When you run V1 or V2 without any registry, it will read the INI file, ask where the DATA files are, and add the registry by itself on the first run. So you don't need those to run either versions.

Didnt get a chance to work further on it yet apart from the preliminary test. Remember, we are working on a number of supported plugins and we are doing this in our spare time. So please be a little patient

you might have to go back to ver1.x untill Fraham is ready! That version of WS works great and enjoying my sounds. If you don't have the older version, ask WK about it.

My guess is that Receptor does not like the new library browser.
