they are actually rather "affordable" if they can live up to the promises.... the AT2 of acoustic guitars :hihi:

I hope my Amplitube1 will arrive any day soon....

I personally tried AT1, but found it to be too muddy and unclear. Hoping AT2 will be much better.
What can I say, now that I had the chance to work with 2 great real tube recording amps side by side with AT1 for an entire week I have a much better understanding of things.
It also helped me understand how to tweak better AT1.
Don't get me wrong both of these amps are very sweet but I refuse to pay 4 digit bills for equipment that only covers half of my needs.
The convenience of plugs for recording is very high on my priority list.
Combating hum is another.
You can get amazing results from AT1 but you really need to work it.
Yes there is some mud in there, hopefully AT2 will solve it.
Working with an EQ before you send the sound to AT1 can make some real changes to the final result.
100Hz, 250Hz, 650Hz, 1.2KHz, 2.3KHz and 5Khz
Put a very narrow +12dB boost on each and then just turn them on and off randomly in all kind of combination.
You will hear some very interesting things that will help you achieve the sounds you want (even eliminate much of the mud).

Will do.
I found one sample song at a British review site (sorry can't remember the name) but I dowloaded it.
It was recorded with the Spider's built in mic:

I dunno about you guys, but I don't know ANYONE who would buy $500+ software as a Christmas gift to someone. Especially if it had to be ordered online. And especially considering many new customers will be upgraders.

I highly doubt that Christmas is a really big important season for this kind of product. ;)

Btw, If Amplitube2 is so great, where are the audio demos? At least NI has got the ballz to show us that GR2 is going to be > 95% when it comes to emulation nirvana :)

For those of you that don't want to spend too much on a tube amp, Vox has a new version of the AC15 coming out - the AC15CC. Price is something like $600, sure it won't do metal but just about everything else.

Check it out: http://www.korgmidwest.com/vox/ac30_cus ... c/AC15.htm

October sure went by fast. Has anyone every worked for a company that missed it's projections this badly...It must sting a bit.
I'm trying to empathize with them but the $99.00 transfer fee makes it hard.
I have decided that AT1 and ST2 are the last IK products I will own.

I like to dip my pizza in ranch.
