Bias?

The amp control on my JD-800 has sliders for Bias Point and Bias Level.
What do these controls do? I don't have enough paper to print the manual, and its a pain to read a 300 page PDF on a computer monitor.

BIAS: High frequency signal used in analogue recording to improve the accuracy of the recorded signal and to drive the erase head. Bias is generated by a bias oscillator.
Maybe those controls have something to do with warmth. Meaning you'r probably able to alter the warmth and depth of the sounds.

^^Eh, I doubt it. I would think that they control DC bias as a function to correct that some synths create an offset DC after certain patching.
