Filterscape - best UI ever?

I like Urs's UI. In comparison to other filter/FX programs it does a great job of unlocking the possibilities within the code.
Filterscape is very tweakable and it has a hell of a lot going on. Compare this to a plug in like Nitro, where there's also a lot going on...but you have to dig to get to the parameters you may want to tweak.

A3ntar, so (regardless whether you've just been trying to wind us up), if you aren't into synths, I'm sure you can't exactly judge the UI of any such things. No offense meant at all - but I wouldn't say anything about, say, the quality or layout of church organs, simply because I'm not familiar with them.
Apart from that, not that you *have* to know or like them, there's several musicians making great use of synths in pretty much blues-influenced music (listen to George Duke, Hancock, whatever). Sure, it's no oldfashioned traditional blues, but who cares?

There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Huh? I stop by late and what must I see? A rantfest in my forum?
Stop it dudes! - You may continue here!
And on the topic, well, I'm flattered to hear this from Chris!
But honestly, I've planned a lot of little improvements on the interface, which make me think that the best ever gui has yet to see the light of day...
Cheers,
Urs

Sascha, I have lots of respect for you, but seriously, do I look like i am just winding people up? I thrown a few statements here and there after I personally got attacked...Those were not serious at all.A3ntar, so (regardless whether you've just been trying to wind us up)
No offense taken. But please notice that I was not critisizing the synth, since I cannot obviously do that. I was just critisizing the UI. Now, if we reffer back to your church organ example, it is true that you cannot critisize the sound of it because you have no prior experience, but would you have the right to say, if you noticed it, that this organ has too many push buttons, that the key action is too strong for your taste, that the pedals are too far away to be comfortobally reached...etc... I think you would have the right to say so.if you aren't into synths, I'm sure you can't exactly judge the UI of any such things. Sorry Urs, it wasn't my intention at all to create any kind of rantfest. I was just giving my non synth Guru opinion on the GUI matter.Huh? I stop by late and what must I see? A rantfest in my forum?
Anyways, I am out of this thread. I think that I said all that I had to say.

You're entitled to your opinion A3ntar.
I still maintain that using the phrase
"I thought they were only good for
<insert genre you know nothing about here>"
was not a nice thing to say.
As far as I can see I never insulted you or
called you names ... your the one doing that.
I did at one point ask you if you realised how stupid
your comments made you look.
You said at one point "Wow! My first personal attacks!!! How exciting!!!
... What should i do know?!!"
(which, because of your misspelling I misinterpreted
as "What do I know?")
So you decided to take it as an attack ....maybe because I implied that your comments made you seem
stupid and ignorant..... oh well...you are entitled
to take my comments any way you see fit....
You could've just as easily apologised for any
confusion and we may've even gone on from there
and come to some point of agreement...whatever...
But I stand by what I've said and that's the last thing I'm gonna say on the matter.
