At least at DOA I can turn displaying signatures off (and they're off in my account), but I do think some restrictions should been made about signatures.

Pendulum seem to have had quite a tangible play on radio one. No one from KVR is even known in their field. I love both boards, but there isn't any getting away from the fact that this one only has local heros, whereas DOA has people out on the scene making a living from their music. You can hate the music, you can say success means nothing, but you're kidding yourself if think that someone making their living out of electronic music means nothing. If it's that easy, you do it.

We can intellectualise, philosophize and rationalize all day about how another person's sucess has no correlation with them being tallented, but in your heart you know you're kidding yourself. Fanu has mad tallent, and so do a lot of people there.

On the other hand it's clear to me that the better software developers are certainly here, and are the two mutually exclusive? No, they are totally interelated, so why don't we all just get along

I won't sit and type a list of names, as I'm no fanboy, but I'm sure they will be mentioned by others, nonetheless.

there are a fair few "famous" people and people who do make a living from their music who do post here,one or two of em even my mum has heard of

but fame and fortune does not make a person more credible,even the bigs shots can be idiots remember

Ahahahhahaha brilliant. KvR vs DOA. If only sickle et al were here still. I fear DOA would win though, they have better carol smillies. teef!

I have to say I've learnt more about actually producing tunes from DOA, but then I'm currently writing lots of drum n bassy and breaksy shizzles. KvR is a better resource for finding out about vst's though.

People over at DOA are generally much more revealing as to who they are if they are published musicians too, and are very divulging with great info about production, eg the superb Q&A threads. I don;t think BT will ever start a thread detailing his production techniques with references to one of his tunes.

In comparison people at KvR jsut seem to argue over which vst is better/less synthedity instead of actually enjoying the discussion of music production and sharing tips, however reliable they may be in usefulness.

I have to confess when I log on to t'internet, I go to DOA before KvR these days, less fighting, trolling and arguing, more useful facts, tips and info. This place is still OK though, when certain people aren't trying to stir shit up all the time. The standard of the Queen's english is somewhat better over here too, what?
