Nuendo added nothing to it as far as i know. It is Franks (ToTc) skill that shines here. Not the spensive host.

Paul
Yep, I'm a big admirer of Frank's work  in general. Just wasn't sure of the process here.

Certainly easier to step-sequence chordal guitar parts than trying to transpose them in your head :? on the fly...

"claw pickin, anyone?"
Paul: thanx dude. ;) appreciate the comment.

FunkyChickenDance: Appreaciate your comments as well. As far as the 2000 dollar daw. Yeah, it was quite expensive...the entire computer based music scene has eaten up most of my funds for quite a while now. hehe. The midi part didn't have much to do with nuendo. I have to admit i foud it easier to program in neundo, as i personally think they way it handles midi is second to none. However, nuendo didn't add anything at all to it. I just drew in the notes and nuendo played them back. no groove templates or logical presets or anything else like that. You compose the same exact midi file in computer muzys or any other free sequencer out there, as well as commercial ones.....anything with midi sequencing capabilites will do just fine.

Actually, i know that fruity loops has alot of "Macro"-like functions that will automatically create strumms, flams, and other dynamic occurences with the click of a button. And FLstudio is definitely affordable.
who actually plays real guitars pretty frickin well when it gets down to it...
I play too. going on 17 years now.

peace!

Oh, I started in 1963. You do the arithmetic... :-o

My kick against doing 'live' guitar for mixes and demo songs comes in two flavors: (a) acoustics are a pain in the ass to mike and (b) I can run through a lot of mouseclicks and whatever in the time it takes me to set up amps, pedals, etc., and get in the groove. A third reason is that once I start playing, I don't stop...the old "off at tangents" problem

I'd thought about FL -- very briefly! -- but I see your point. It would not be a particularly terrible way of integrating a lot of bits and pieces for me, and has a few useful features like the one you mention. And it is damned cheap for what you get, that's for sure. Which is always welcome. It'd certainly do as a versatile host until resources were less stretched and I could buy something fancier...

good thinking!

Oh Yeah
I did not post the link to the ManyGuitar webpage here yet as it is still hidden and can only be seen by clicking from these KvR threads at the moment.
Anyways it has the Full Soundset list up there now as well as all the mp3 demo tracks.

See it here:
http://www.manytone.com/manyguitar.html

Not the final page yet but close enough for a peek.

Also if you missed it...
Check the Market Place here at KvR for a brief (couple days) special we are running on all our Manytone Samples.
The thread for it is here:

3 rolling eyes... ;-)

cmon' we are only about 3 weeks late so far (that must be one rolly eye per week i guess ;-) )
That's not too bad i would say considering all the last minute extra attention to be sure it is as best it can be. (And remember Aldo our coder was in an accident which lost us some time - at an important time.. he is okay now ;-) )

Barring any last minute unexpectables. We should have it all ready this week.

I'm beginning to think ManyGuitar and Ethnotronics are actually just legends. :hihi:

Actually, I just committed god knows how much money to a Sonar5 purchase as a birthday present for my partner. Now I don't know if I'm going to be purchasing either ManyGuitar or Ethnotronics until next year. :(

I'm quite annoyed about it because I was really excited about getting both products, but now it might have to wait because I think I'm going to struggle finding the money for Christmas presents this year. *sigh*

Sell some of the VSTs or Hosts that you don't use anymore. Write some songs, put them on a CD, sell the CD and buy Ethnotronics and ManyGuitar!

There ya go..problem solved...enjoy! Riley
