I remember reading somewhere about using T-2 with video. Does anyone have any info on this ?

Post

Yes. You need Quicktime installed. Then in the options menu of the edit page, you will see relevant menu entries. I can't remember what they're called offhand, but one enables the QT video window and the other enables the QT sound. By default, QT sound is OFF because they assume you're making your own music to go with the video. But it's easily enabled.

Wow, thats encouraging. Is there any documentation on what can be done as far as syncing the audio with video ? I guess in other words, of what use is T-2 with video?

Post

well, there's not a lot to say; the QT video window will stay in sync with the cursor position, so you can create/arrange audio alongside the video. there isn't a 'frames' timeline for the video tho, but you can make yourself a guide by creating empty clips, and colouring/naming them to indicate points/sections of importance.

i'm not sure how else to answer your question! you can do whatever you can imagine doing if you have a video window playing in sync with your timeline.

also, however, one thing to be aware of: as well as having the movie's audio disabled by default, you MAY find that you don't hear it even if you activate it; the QT movie's audio will come out of the audio device selected for OS default output - in windows that means the one selected in controlpanel-sounds and audio devices. This may cause confusion if your default DAW output is a different device.

Also ... try the demo.
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"

What demo? I already have T-2 and at present use the HDR with SMPTE to sync to a VTR/DVD. I would like to sweeten the DVD's audio after it is mixed
