Is pop music at its bottom?

I blame it on women.. Women only like shit that someone else liked who got the idea from someone else that thought it was cool It seems like a biological advancement so they can find the mate with the most resources. When was the last time you saw a hot chick (or even a moderate looking chick) buy a well crafted electronic compilation? Or electronic artist? Why is it that most of the people here that make tunes are men? Because the music affected them enough to want to make it themselves.. Thats why.. Im not speaking for all women, just most.

Girls spend their money on make-up, clothes, babies, and keeping their car running and food and shit like that.. They arent interested in boyish stuff like quality music and quality video games.. This is a realisation Im starting to understand now.

So if 'good' music was that important to women, how come they don't buy it or listen to it.. Sure you get a handful, but only a handful of girls would give a f**k about my music (i make good music by the way!) lol

Its the same reason you go to the shops and most of the clothes are for women. They spend their time and energy wanting to look pretty. That is their art. And they do it well! Guys care less about such things and concentrate their efforts elsewhere.

Also so many guys are wanting to get into this music game because its so easy these days (and because they love it so much).. Prolem is, there is too much good music out there.. That makes it harder for me to make mine look special in a world already flooded with wicked tunes..

So i don't know what to do myself.. Think I might get a 'real job' and just leave the music bit on the side just for fun..

When was the last time you saw a chick give a f**k about production techniques and get super involved in something like that? Why are all the inventions (most) made by men? Because men don't get as side-tracked by hormones. There is no biological clock saying "oh no, after 40 i cant make babies anymore".. Woman wants successful man instinctively to bring up the best offspring. In this world this requires money. Not 'quality of art'.. We are all just basic animals trying to procreate in the end. Thats why the world is so f**ked up and money hungry.

My theory:

The quality of popular (pop) music has not changed much. The opinions about the quality of pop music change. The opinions about the quality of pop music does not change much over time, but rather in direct relation to the people who hold those opinions. Why would some people like it and some not?

Theory continues: If surveyed amongst the following three groups, clearly defined differences in opinions are to be found: a) Non-musicians b) successfull musicians c) unsuccessfull musicians.

It is clear IMO that category c) hold opinions very negative to the quality of pop music. FInding the reason for that such trend is not part of the scope of this study as the writer does not hold the required phycological qualifications. The finding however find a strong correlation between frustration about "being ripped off by the large record companies" and the dislike of pop music. Conclusions can not be drawn and futures can not be planned based on this study, which involved very limited subject material.

You are saying drum n bass is better if you used a stick against a frying pan for a snare?

You are basically dissing all forms of tonal exploration! All tones have their own emotional response. Play the same chord on a pad sound and you will get a totally different emotional response than if you played the chord on a banjo!!

That is what music is equally about aswell.

Some of the best music I know involves women on all levels. Some of the best (and most knowledgable) audio engineers I know are women. By far the biggest vinyl prog collection I know of belongs to a woman.
Some of the crappiest pop music I know involves men on all levels. Some of the worst (and least knowledgable)audio engineers I know are men. Many of my male acquaintances own very few, but amazingly shitty, units of recorded music.
