Swoosh Machine will play any DASHsnd file, so anything you convert to that format is fair game.aldoofbanga wrote:sounds very interesting, what categories are the sfx ? Can it import personal recorded sfx as well ?

So how does Swoosh differ from Eve? Is it more that it comes with a sound effects library?
Why would an Eve owner want this synth? Any reason besides the sound effects?
Cheers

Installing the demo gives you a manual as well, that answers most of these questions.... e.g. a list of soundsets, afaik there are a few functions (e.g. advanced panning) that are new. But I'm not an EVE user (only Wusik and EVE ONE)....

I've got the demo, but there are so few presets that it was hard to get a good idea as to the niche for Swoosh vs Eve. Have not read the manual yet. I'll take a look if there is a list of soundsets etc.M'Snah wrote:Installing the demo gives you a manual as well, that answers most of these questions.... e.g. a list of soundsets, afaik there are a few functions (e.g. advanced panning) that are new. Edit: Looking at the manual (small as it is), the main reason to buy Swoosh seems to be if you want a dedicated sound fx vsti. I already own Eve, Eve One and Wusik Station, so I don't need a sample player for those formats.
While the sound fx sound good, if that's all there is, I think I'll pass on this one.
Am I missing some major features? Liqih?

Sounds FUN!
Any MP3 demos would be helpful. Even if they are just snippits of some of the more interesting patches...
One can never have enough synth-swoosh effects in their bag-o-tricks!

During the Swoosh Machine development I´ve did a brief audio track, it´s here http://www.wusik.com/song.php?id=1020 . The mp3 was done before John Gibson created the Presets, so actually it´s more pure sample content related track. Preset demo tracks will follow soon.
Swoosh Machine is an expandable Special Sound Effects sample library with an integrated easy-to-use VST player.
The idea behind the VST is: When it comes to SFX request, start the Swoosh Machine, load an appropriate Preset, make the adjustments with only a minimum set of Parameters, done.
