I hear ya A3ntar and I appreciate what you are trying to achieve here but I don't think it will help.
I was waiting for your comments on this guitar sound that I did with AT1, nothing fancy but I like the dynamics:

By the way I got my acoustic:

All the innovations work as advertised.
You can lower action by just an easy 360 degree turn of the key.
So you can go from dorbo to electric action AND IT STAYS IN TUNE! AMAZING!.
Sound is very good especially plugged in.
Individual notes are very loud.
I would say it's a dream for somebody who wants to play solo guitar on an acoustic.

BUT....... :( the finish and workmanship is not good.
"Hand made in Indonesia by a small family of luthiers" did not work for me.
The neck was mounted wrong, some very high frets, the lower E is too close to the edge of the neck and so on.
My guitar tech can fix all these but for a $1000 guitar it should not have all these problems..... so he said return it and I will.
I still like all the innovations and I am sure that the ones that are made in the US are perfect but I can not afford them.
My suggestion: only buy one if you can play it first and check it out top to bottom. ( very hard to do because nobody has these except the mail order companies)

Andrew, it is very good indeed, although lacking a bit of dynamics in lower volumes. I am not able to get my AT1 to sound half as good as that.

Oh, that sucks. So these guys have to manufacturing faclities, one in Indonesia and another in the US? How much more expensive is the Us version?

I know you guys are talking acoustics, but if I'm shelling out several grand for a guitar then here's what I would get...however I would send them a strat I built and they would put in the system and paint it anyway I want.

A small computer mounted inside the self tuning guitar controls motors that are linked to each string. The bridge and tailpiece are replaced by the self tuning system, allowing your imagination to run wild.
At the touch of a button or footswitch, motors are activated to adjust the tension of each string.

The sound is not synthetically reproduced or "modeled." The self tuning system is entirely separate from the audio system in the guitar, keeping the pickups and audio the same. The sound, tone and feel of your guitar stay virtually unchanged.

Whether you are performing on stage, recording in the studio or songwriting... The Performer™ greatly enhances your creativity and efficiency.
In just seconds, you enjoy a quick, easy and precise method of accessing alternate tunings.

Featuring SmartBridge™ technology, The Performer™ lets you focus on performing.

It reduces the need for additional guitars and takes the hassle out of tuning.

One touch and your playing jumps to a whole new level.

Technical Specs

Profile Can be retrofitted to any Gibson Les Paul, Fender Telecaster, or Fender Stratocaster
Touch-up Accurate + / - 2 cents
Pitch Range Up to 9 half-steps per string
Motor Speed Adjustable -- full-speed changes one whole step per second
Tuning Range Tens of thousands of distinct tunings possible
Storage Capacity 144 pre-set tunings plus 240 custom tunings
Power Supply 12 VDC power supply, optional rechargeable batteries
Battery Life 120 minutes with 120 tuning changes
Accessories Footswitch assembly, rechargeable batteries, battery charger, battery holder
My half brother had a Paul with one but he sold it for 3k...but I got to play it quite a bit...I just want it on a strat, the touch-up button is cool...automatically touches up the tuning. Neil the designer told me two years ago they were coming up with a lite version that only stored like 12 tunings but had a cordless footswitch, that was going to be 1000 installed...but still no word of it... :)

Cool robot-strat Hink! Looks to be a bit on the heavy side though, but if you have a strong back then it's fine I guess.

GT2? Which one's that, then?

FWIW, I'm seriously looking at the Line 6 UX2 now instead of EITHER the NI or the IK offerings.
