I don't recall my half brother's Paul being any more heavy then any Paul. It might add a couple pounds, but nothing back breaking....I'm still hoping for the lite version...I got an email the other day and he is selling Les Paul Standards already equipped and with 335 pre-set tunings  for 5200....way too much for me, but then my half brother bought his close to 10 years ago (he had serial number 40) and it was 4800...

but with the lite, the retro-fit and finishing is 1000. I dont need 336 tunings programmed...you can still program any tuning, you just have (I think) 12 saved in the memory. Which is fine for me, if I need more programming the 6 strings is quite a bit quicker then tuning the guitar. Of course you'll still have touch-up...which puts it in perfect tune in less then a second with one push of a button...with a locking nut tremolo better yet...

Ahhhhhh shit  Putte.. you never fail to make me laugh.

Yes, hmmmm AT2 in all it's non-existence does seem tempting compared to the Lin6 UX2 not shipping yet.

Can't wait to get in the studio with Vapor 2.0 and record nothing. I have an idea for a song. Nothing from Nothing leaves Nothing.....Gotta have something.

What do you think?

IK should at least go download the GR2 demos, rename them then post em on the IK site.. It would be great to watch the AT2 versus GR2 thread decide which sounds better.

I think I'm gonna cry.

Actually, now I took the time to read the blurb, maybe AT2 will be OK..... LOLOLOL

Oh come on lads, give IK a chance - they said mid-November - didn't you know November's got 43 days in it? :D

What audio demos Putte? Do you mean that nasty noise in the background of that much loved Amplitude 2.0 advert?

UX2 must be shipping... I've seen 2 user reviews so far (on the UX2 thread, do a forum search!) and they discuss it on the Line 6 forums.

Apparently latency when using it as a soundcard can be at around 4ms if I remember right, and allegedly the "ToneDirect" monitoring allows you to monitor with even less latency, though there are no real clear numbers saying what that latency is... they just imply that it's an undetactable amounts, so probably 2 or 3 ms.

Wow! that is excellent latency.

I'm going to go to guitar center and try one as soon as they get one setup.

Riley

I had a listen to all the audio demos on the Line6 site... Needed a shower afterwards... hehe

I'm still not convinced of the modelling.... Awaiting AT2 for final judgement of all 3 :)

. good news for all people waiting for AT2:

i got a mail from IKmultimedia that they´re going to show AT2 in munich in a store this month. hey, that means that AT2 isnt abandonded yet .. :hyper:

here´s the text in german:

"Unser Produktspezialist führt Sie ein in die Geheimnisse des neuen AmpliTube 2 (www.amplitube.com) und kann Ihre Fragen zu dieser
äusserst spannenden Gitarren Amp Simulation Software beantworten."

and it means something like:

"our product specialist shows you the secrets of the new AmpliTube 2 and can answer your questions about this very amazing guitar am simulation software"

hmm .. so if i´d go there he´d probably show me some pics of a barely dressed girl and then keep on telling me some stories about the plugin AND the girl .. :)
Or he´s going to tell me that they´re going to release that girl instead of AT2 .. :hihi:

anyway .. puttanay

Post

.. or even better: the product specialist wont even show up ..

Post
