LOL, what have you done to my thread?!!!
I don't recognise my baby anymore! It is all grown up and thinking about sex and inflatable dolls now!
In good tradition, I shall slip a word about AT2, so not to stray away from topic.
The latest word on the streets is that AT2 will make it before the end of the year. Will make it to the Alpha stage that is...

I hear the Betabugs has bugs though.
Just kidding.
Don't meant to sound like a broken reckid' but... these things take time. It's not a simple update. It is a whole new program and there are some important tweaks that have to be made for this ampitious project.
It's not just a VST (which I have already btw) but a multiplatform beast plus there's a stand alone version and a hardware controller and (woops
go to NAMM) so you don't just throw that stuff onto the shelves just because it would be nice to have it say for... Santy Claus n' stuff. Believe me, everyone would love to have it out there! But, I agree it is better to take the time to dot the i's and cross the t's (or dot the t's and cross the eyes
).
In the meantime, I would like to do a little Squids tap dance for you. Watch the tentacles. Now THAT is talent. Oh, there are some audio examples coming soon. I might get my tentacles into that a bit at some point myself if I get a little permission to do so. I feel spoiled by being able to have it all this time.
I was planning on buying one for Putte as a gift. I can do that if I want right? Why not? Although he has to be a nice Putte. (Don't pet the putte!). But, I would be curious to see what he thinks. Maybe also Donkey. I have to see what my Santa Claus budget is like. Maybe I will also do a contest on esoundz as well so any of you can also earn a little gift from the Squids... that is when it is available.

So will it be showcased audibly on Thursday at Fivedays, or just pictures and stats?

multree: What a nice GUI!! You made that yourself?! I would love to spin those knobs man. Do you seriously plan on making a plugin out of these?
Squids: Stop writing in riddles man! LOL...Donkey, Santa Claus, when "it" is available, tap dance, tentacles, what does it all mean?!!
Look, GR2 was announced last month and there is already a demo version out. IKMM should look after NI's example.
Thanks for keeping us posted Squids.

Soon as in next year? Squids, this "soon" stuff with IK is taking forever. I understand that it is a complex piece of code, but why announce it a year in advance?Oh, there are some audio examples coming soon

LOL, nicely done cptgone. Your like visine to my eyes, with you everything is clearer now.
So Putte (only if he is a nice Puke) is getting a Monkey from Santa Clara who is riding on one of Squids ted dansin' testicles while drinking the t's and pleasing the i's.
It all makes so much sens now!

Nice! Do the knobs move with a scroll mouse? I think that should be part of the VST spec that all sliders, knobs or whatever can be changed by the scroll button.multree wrote:and just to prove my statement [shamless plug mode]

lol. That's good stuff. Yeah, those riddles...
Obviously I have no ability to affect when it comes out myself or anything. I am just as anxious for everyone to have it too. I am especially looking forward to when some of the musicians I collaborate with around the world can have it so we can send tracks around and they have the same virtual amp and effects set up. We're already doing that with Miroslav, ST and Sonik Synth and it is amazing how easily we can collaborate even if people are using different hosts.
One thing to point out though when making comparisons to GR is that the difference between GR2 and GR1 is not nearly as drastic as the differences between AT2 and AT1. Different companies have different stages of evolution that they call V1, V2, V3 etc. IK tends to be more dramatic in the changes (such as what happened between ST1 and ST2). That does mean that it can be less predictable when it will be done though. There are just so many new elements and then pushing the envelope for every system on Mac and PC which can be different so there is a lot of back and forth stuff, testing, tweaking etc. As for the modeling and all that stuff there has been a lot of it sounding awesome since last NAMM! The alpha version I have for instance has everything you see on line and it's awesome. But, it is the VST version on PC. There's also all the Mac versions, the ProTools (and they even have a NEW ProTools
), AU etc. IK is committed to offering plug-ins in all of the major plug-in formats which is what the stores really want (so they have one product that can be sold to all plug-in users).
So, probably what I am saying isn't really news to anyone. It's just not ready yet. But, once it is then it will really change what people can do with guitar processing in software. It is a significant step forward. 20,000 amp combinations for example. Nothing else does that. Also the Dynamic Saturation Modeling is really taking modeling to another level in my opinion. Then the character of specific stomp boxes, the sound of the new cabinet and mic modeling... so many things I love about it. I really think it is worth waiting for. The best way to go is to get AmpliTube 1 right now for less and then you get AT2 for free when it is available. Then you have something to play with for now and something even better around the corner (and you get to keep both which are different sounding and have different presets).
If you decide you want to do that then perhaps you can come get it from our store, esoundz. http://www.esoundz.com/details/viewDeta ... ductID=158
Oh by the way, Mul, the stuff is looking good! Well done.
