I created a simple 2 track midi sequence with drums on one track and a bass line on the other and set to loop with tracks going out to a couple of outboard synths so I could practice some guitar riffs....
With my Maudio midisport2x2 it will output just fine the first time through the loop, but then it stops outputting even though the meters are still showing output in tracktion. If I put a midi monitor plugin on the master it still shows midi events happening, but the lights on the 2x2 do not show any activity.
If I minimize Tracktion (I have "stop all output on minimize" enabled) then restart it will work one more time through the loop then stop outputting.
If I simply stop and restart playback it does not come back, it has to be minimized then maximized and restarted?????
If I use another midi interface (my FW410 for instance) it loops just fine.
If I use soft synths it loops just fine.
WTF???? any ideas???? I mean I can easily work around it, but in general my 2x2 has been rock solid. Also what is different about minimizing then maximizing as opposed to just stopping and starting?

i think this must be related to your midisport drivers. they simply have a problem with freeing the audio. i know there are other devices with the same problem. just don't free it on minimize or hope for better m-audio drivers (m-audio is known for little buggy drivers but they updating quit often )

There's a documented bug that's being fixed right now with the way Tracktion sends MIDI information. Not sure it's related, not being a MIDI guy, but there you have it.
I could have misunderstood, so hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along to correct me, but my understanding is that there's a bug right now.
