Try this test
Set Receptor to 44.1 / 128
Disable ZLoad
Load a blank patch
Rebuild the Plugin Cache "Hold down the MULTI button and triple press the POWER button. When the Front Panel says LOADING you can release the MULTI button."
Load 4Front Piano Module
Do you hear any pops etc?

Out of curiosity, have you encountered the problem with midi clock set to internal?

I've been experiencing a problem which may shed light on some of the ticking issues in this thread. I'm using EastWest Symphonic Orchestra Gold (which sounds amazing, by the way). What I notice is that on certain patches (Large String Section, for example), the first time I play a note, it is likely to pop and/or play only partly through the sample. If I play that same note again, it almost always play smoothly. It is as if there is some cacheing or something that happens...
Does this behavior sound familiar to anyone else?

I had a bad sound card and replacing it helped. It had nothing to do with MIDI clock settings.tjodoin wrote:Out of curiosity, have you encountered the problem with midi clock set to internal?

HI
I'm getting little crakling noises too. When I pluged in my headphones to receptors headphone jack..it's not there. But then used the headphone jack to go into my computers line in..and everything is OK...I was using the Spif output, and getting the crackles..just faint pops and crackes, but you can hear them when you record...so it's the Spif output.
Could be my soundcard, but the line input works fine with no crackles.Any suggs?
Is there a special RCA cable I should be using? I am using gold connectors, and it's suppose to be "digital" compatable whatever that means..or are there specific cables for Spif?

I'm glad that someone else had that problem (I'm sorry that you had it, though). My card died on me, got it replaced and then I started having weird problems. I finally gave up and returned it. I built a new PC and I'm MUCH happier now. I just love all the great Windows VSTi/VSTs that are out there! I just use my laptop for performing live. I'm not touring or in a big name band so I can live without the Receptor. I built a PC with a E-MU 1820 for less and it kicks a$$. Love it. I was just on here to get some more help files for eXT (another brilliant PC program!) and saw your post.tconrardy wrote:HI

Gotta go. Have a great holiday! Hope your troubles get fixed, soon!
BTW, Cygnus and Nebula are fantastic! Thanks for turning me on to them!
