I'm loving my Receptor, but I've been unable to run the registration tool succesfully for EWQLSO Gold. If I try "Register Online" it says "cannot Open Browser". Same for "Fill Out Form". If I choose to "Save File", it claims to have succeeded, but there is no sign of the file in the Receptor file system.
I appreciate that this may be more an NI support issue than Muse, but I'm relying on the graciousness of the Muse folk's superior support.

You need to follow the instructions for Receptor. Instead of clicking on "Register Online: click on “Save Registration File”
You can find the instruction here:

Thanks, yes, I did that but after getting the "File succesfully written!" message, I can find no trace of the file in the Receptor file system (via network connection).
Any further debugging info I could give you? Thanks for the incredibly quick response.

You are probably using AppleTalk and the file name has more than 31 characters - AppleTalk would not show such a long file name. (We need to mention that in the instructions).
You need to use Samba. In the Finder go to the "Go" menu and select "Connect to Server" In the "Server Address" field type:
where "192.168.1.105" is the actual IP address of your Receptor. You can also type:
where "Receptor-12345" is the name of your Receptor. BTW I strongly recommend that you change the name of your Receptor to something easy to remember like "tomandandy".
There is no password with samba, so keep pressing OK until the disk is mounted.
p.s. We met in another life, circa 1990. You guys were living in NY, fresh out of Princeton, and I was working for Peter Wiener's Segue Software in Santa Monica. Small world.

I just popped the movie Mean Creek in my DVD player, and the first thing that came up was "Soundtrack by Tomandandy"....
Thought it rang a bell and came here to check it out.

Yes, that's us! Hi Dan, I THOUGHT your name looked familiar as well. This is Andy -- we did indeed meet at Segue. I'm happy to see you're still doing what you (we) enjoy -- MUSE looks like a very cool venture -- I'm quite impressed with the product. Check us out on imdb.com under "tomandandy". We are presently using Receptor to create horrific textures for a remake of Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes"...

By the way, thanks for the help -- using Samba was indeed the fix. We're up and running now....
