Hi, I'm a confused home musician.
1. After the last update, my T2 and M-audio black box stopped being able to sync together. I've played with all the setting in T2, but the M-audio just doesn't sync to the beat. It only starts syncing to the bpm of the T2 edit when I STOP T2 from playing the song. Any thoughts?
2. What are rack effects in T2? I have tons of mostly free VSTs but I can't insert any in the rack.
3. Say I have a vocal track and I apply reverb to it. I want to pan the wet signal right and the dry signal left; how is that possible in T2 (I can probably do it if I have 2 copies of the track, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution).
4. I record with a condenser mic and it easily picks up the very low volume from my headphones. What is the cheapest solution to this (wrap towels around my headphone?)
any help with any of my questions is much appreciated. thank you all in advance.

2. Click on racks, to show the little racks section, then click on "nex rack" or "open rack" (not sure) to the left. Then just drag filters into the rack.
3. Place a reverb in the rack, with just left or right audio going into it, and set to 100% wet. Then send the other (l or r) directly to the output.
4. I'll be keeping an eye out for this myself!

1. Try reinstalling your m-audio drivers
2. Check out the chapter in the T2 manual for rack filters...there is a simple walkthrough that will get you comfortable with using this feature

4.) try pulling a knit hat over your head with the headphones on...although it could start getting warm! Also try playing with the mic position, but if it's a big problem you may want to invest $100 or so on closed-type headphones.

Problem 4: You don't need to spend $100 on closed back phones - I bought a $40 set of closed back phones at Best Buy. I think they are Aiwa brand. I didn't buy them for sound quality, but for minimum leakage. When I track vocals with my LDC mic, I slip the right cup off my ear and it still seals pretty well on the back of my head right behind the ear. I don't pick up the phone output in the mic at all.
I have to do the one-cup only technique to help me keep on pitch with vocals - I need to hear the airborne sound in addition to my backing tracks.

Regarding use of headphones and minimizing leakage to the mic:
1. If you wear glasses, take them off if you can - that lets the earcup seal better on your face.
2. Makeshift vocal booths using blankets draped across a couple of boom mic stands or other horizontal support can do wonders for knocking down high frequency room noise that LDC mics can pick up since they are usually less cardioid in nature than a cardioid dynamic mic. This also helps to absorb some of the HF content that might leak out of your closed back headphones.

problem 1: Apologies, this might be obvious but have you set up the time delay on the inputs after installing the new version of tracktion? look up 'auto detect' in the manual to set this up.
