DVD in t2

What's the best/easiest way to convert a DVD into a .mov file so I can edit the sound in T2?

DVD is really not my area, but it doesn't need to be a .mov file. Just anything that quicktime can play, which is quite a lot of formats. Just thought i'd throw that out there while we're thinking about it

Thanks -- I should have specified that I'm using Windows. Will quicktime pro do the job?

nope, don't think so. But there are probably similar programs on the PC. I just don't know of any off the top of my head. any one else?

Is this the way it works on windows PCs because on my mac only .mov files can be selected, all other types of quicktime movie files are 'greyed out'

iMovie will convert those however to .mov so it's no big deal, just wondering that's all
