I just picked up my first issue at GC yesterday and I can now see why everyone talks so highly of it. Not only infromative, educational and helpful it is classy as well.
Looks like Santa is going to get a request for a subscription to it for me for Christmas....She already brought up the idea. What a great mate I have.

Just trying to learn about recording, that is if my head is not too hard.

We left Zoo (Kalama) stopped at Planewell at my son's. I started to thumb through it when we left his place. I still was not done when we got to Alpena some 250 plus miles or 300. A lot to read and digest a lot for the price.....If you haven't bought one treat yoursefl I don't think you will be sorry werth every penny and then some....

SOS is a most excellent magazine, quite trustworthy as magazines go. I subscribed for 2 years, it was wonderful, but got too expensive for me...

You can subscribe to the esub (online only) its £25 a year, which seems reasonable to me. Its the best music gear mag I know of.woolyloach wrote:SOS is a most excellent magazine, quite trustworthy as magazines go. I subscribed for 2 years, it was wonderful, but got too expensive for me...

yay for SOS, its what you graduate too when you get sick of the gaudy layouts and annoying banter of future publishing. But then you realise SOS is written by a bunch of crusty old men with grudges against PCs........
I think maybe its just that Ive turned into a crusty old man though, I did send off 3 emails of complaint this week.

Hey, that's not fair - martin Walker is a cursty old man who *likes* PCs!
Actually many of the editorial staff have been there since the beginning, so have been there before crustiness. I remember Paul White, the current editor, when he was editor on Home and Studio Recording, about 17 or 18 years ago.
So I guess that makes me a crusty, too!
