Is "Jaath" for real?

I always thought 'jaath' was Tugger's way of mocking the silly self-consious aspect of jazz by associating it with the stereotype of 'soft' men and lisps. No?

Actually, from what I remember of Colosseum, some of their stuff could almost be gozz..
