This time of year I find myself thinking about bright colored lights and sparkling snowflakes, etc, etc...

It got me wondering if there are any vst audio visualization generators (like the kind you get with I-Tunes/Reap Player/WM Player) that I can give as a holiday present to my hard-working buddy- T2?

Or, if no VSTs like that, what about any cool PC software for generating visualizations that can be triggered by audio and/or midi??

Warm Regards,

You can download a free spectrum analyser called Inspector from Elemental Audio. IIRC it comes as a download with demos of Eqium and Firium though you don't need to install them.

There is a new XL Inspector too, but this is payware. At $89 bucks it may well be worth it though!

Interesting the visualizations available to winamp that seem to be publically authored (windows media also?) - It would be really cool if one of you savvy vst developers would develop a visualization vst that maybe can possibly import these winamp/wm offerings or something like that.

The single I-tunes visualization is pretty amazing to my eyes

Valley - I have a few of the freeware analysers and they are pretty amazing in their own right. Great tools to have at the click of a button.

So, any other takes on this lightshow stuff?

I feel 90% sure this already exist although from my memory* of it I recall it being buggy. My music computer is non-functioning due to my playing the "if I throw this system file away, will my pc still work" game. However, when I get it up and running again I'll look for the vst file and let you know (provided I remember **)

if the worst comes to the worst you can install windows on top of its self (the 2'nd repeair option given during the XP/2000 install)
