new track --> why are all parameters automated?

Hey, I tried looking this up on the forum, with no luck.

Pretty often, when I add a new track in Tracktion, it will come up with all the parameters (volume, pan, etc.) automated.

Each envelope is a flat line with a single point, so it doesn't affect anything until I go to change something. Then I have to delete all points on each curve. It's a pain if I add more than one track at a time!

Anyone run into this, or have an idea?

check that the automation record button is off when you open a new project. see that its off.

If at ANY point in time in the song you're working on you have deleted a marked region, your automation for all tracks will be screwed up. I didn't know that it affected tracks that are newly-added, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I haven't had any of these problems since I decided to never delete region with the bug unaddressed.
