here's my problem, (besides the fact that i'm a relative newbie to MIDI)...
i have a cheap 37 key MIDI controller with MOD, PROGRAM CHANGE and BANK SELECT... it's all set up and works great
EXCEPT...
I have a drum kit soundfont I like but 80% of the sounds are in the octave below where my keyboard transmits.
Is there an octave transpose/select feature in Tracktion so I can PLAY the virtual kit or am I S.O.L?
thanks!

The built in Tracktion pitch shifter filter is your friend. Just slap that on a track before your sound font player and set it transpose down an octave or two. You'll be good to go.

That's good for audio data (sound fonts) but what about for actual MIDI data. Is there an acutal setting anywhere in Tracktion that will transpose incoming MIDI data. I use a keyboard as a MIDI controler and work on music that is done with guitars at either standard pitch or tuned down to Eb. It would be nice to be able to just set a filter in Traction to shift the MIDI data down a half step when I needed to.
