I am seriously considering buying a receptor. I own a lot of Vis (Komplete3, Garriton, EWQLSO Gold, Trinity, ExtremeFX, etc etc), but can only use a few at once in my live rig.
I am trying to find out how many VIs I can practically run at once on one receptor. Currently I am using a Powerbook 1.5gig (2 gig RAM) with DP as my host fro my live rig, and can only run B4 and one Kontakt program any one time (at any useable buffer setting for live playing). What can I expect to be able to load up at once on Receptor? Documentation says “Receptor provides architectural support for as many as 16 simultaneous VSTi instruments and 57 VST effects”..... What is a realistic limit for processing? Can you please give me an example of a maximum VI lineup that could run at once (with max Ram)?
Also, when will Uniwire be available, and will that be included with Receptors or will that be another purchase?
I Look forward to this information.

UniWire will be part of Receptor and will not require a separate purchase.paddyryan wrote:Also, when will Uniwire be available, and will that be included with Receptors or will that be another purchase?

I've run up to 8 tracks live, including B4, impOSCar, 3 insatances of Atmosphere, and 2 instances of Kompact; oh, a MasterVerb and FinalPlug too.
I know I can do more!
Max out the avaialble RAM ~ 2 GB, and play with your settings.
You'll be very happy
