I am even considering using it live, something that AT2 is not going to be any good at because of the Dongle, having said that I will still except my free AT2 upgrade when it comes.

Huh? What is it about the dongle that will obviate live use?

[a guess] Possibility of damage? It's a sticky-outy bit, especially susceptible to damage when attached to a laptop. A hub wold help, and might be necessary anyway.

I bought GR2 even though I have AT1 and qualify for a upgrade discount. I just think that NI products sound better and they are the lesser of the 2 evils as far as doing business goes.

I choose the page where the universe will collapse into a gigantic black hole as this thread has expanded too far and the weight information in it alone will be the cause of it.

and even then at2 won't be released.
