A few things I noticed:

1) GeoShape -- I create a wave shape in slot one, then copy; move to slot 2, then paste. Nothing happens; am I doing it wrong?

2) It is not obvious to me where the chorus and phasar effects are located; but I see the delay1 and delay2. Are chorus/phasar simply delay patches?

3) It would be interesting if RMB tune were the same as shift-tune. Then I would not have to use my toes to play the keyboard whilst fine tuning the OSC pitch  .

With the wave selected that you just created (i.e. the box at the bottom ringed in green), right click on the box you want to send it to and select duplicate

Click on modfx1 in the FX mod matirx at the bottom of the screen. The chorus/phorus/phaser params will appear to the right

p.s. I just found something cool - there are two other options available in the right click context menu (morph and exchange), but they are available via mouse+key combos as well. Ctrl-clicking exchanges the position clicked with the currently selected wave, while alt-clicking morphs the waveform from the currently selected wave to the wave clicked. Doesn't seem to be one for duplicate, though.

duplicate is alt-ctrl-click ;)

This copies the whole waveset i.e. from OSC1 to OSC3, not just single waveforms.

No. You gotta add them to the effects Grid first to make them visible. Chorus/Phaser are called "ModFX" for Modulation Effects.

What's RMB tune? Ah... Right Mouse Button?

Well... I'm working on a concept to make fine knob adjustments quicker than shift. Can say if and when and how though...

Hey Urs,

Wow, Z2 looks amazing so far, one thing though: Did the multistage lose its STEP ability? Or is the new school method to use the points to create steps?

They lost it for now.

I'm currently evaluating to bring it back and/or to soup up the Arpeggiator with Step Sequencers that also run while the actual Apeggiator isn't on.

I have a funny problem:

Using the comb1 in this preset :

http://www.xsynth.com/download/CPUPEAK_Comb1.fxp

I have a track where i put down 3 notes and keep them down for 3 mins. Tempo is bpm 80 and its around bar 49-51 CPU starts to hit the ceiling.

In minutes its around 2.30 mins

The CPU will rise and fall a bit until the 2.30 mins point is reached. When it finnally gets there its computer lockup time due to cpu overload.

Cant figure out whats triggering it.

Hiya,

I suppose this would be no more no less than the infamous denormalization.

Comb filters, ringmodulators, waveshapers, some filter types and all effects still have no level detection that would put them to sleep if they don't have anything audible to do...

In the final version *everything* that doesn't contribute to sound, whyever this is, will just fall asleep and use no cpu. In the current version they'll just go on, so that in some cases the numbers to crunch are so small (albeit totally inaudible) that the cpu freaks out...

;) Urs

Okies thx Urs :)

Another thing, is it possible to make a randomized panning on oscillator after VCF. The panning should be responding to each key stoke and just pick a random position. ?

I've been trying diffenrent setups but no luck so far but if you say its doable i will eventually find the solution.

Would be nice in a preset like this:

Nice patch!!! Sounds like Sakamoto in a really good way :)

One trick to get random stuff per note is using a very slow voice LFO at random glide. I think the "Da Juice" patch uses this.

However I think there'll be a random modulator anyway (fixed random value for each note).
