Master Volume Knob Not Working?

Hey, just got my Receptor, haven't read the entire manual (of course!). I'm just messing around with the pre-installed instruments right now using the headphone output.

The master volume knob does absolutely nothing. Volume seems maxed out and does not change when I turn the knob in any direction (up or down). This is in the headphones. Is this a bug or a problem, or is this "as designed"? I read in the manual that the master volume should control output to the headphones and the main output jacks as well.

You got a second hand Receptor. Correct?

The volume knob should work. It is probably broken.
