if you want to create music you need a good workflow and a good gui cause if you just see the dark grey clors (for me it is so) you lose any inspiration to create music

you can do either/both of the following two:

1. Keep a box of Cereal/Cubarse/etc. on your desktop for 'inspiration'. The only criterion: it should be funkily colorful.
2. Use some funkily colorful temporary-blindness-inducing psychedelic image as your wallpaper in FL. It'd be perfect for coke-driven psytrance production. An example follows.

1. Stop using FL.

Sometimes I get so involved in the music makng that I forget everything around me. So what I did was add a picture of a h0t n4k3d ch1x0r in the background. Whenever a certain place gets uncovered, I become aroused, close all the windows in FL, get naked, do my thing, and then realize that I was supposed to do 1 5 hour ago. But at least it'll be only 1 hour as opposed to 5.

I think the GUI is very attractive, but grey on grey in tiny font sizes is just not comfortably usable for a significant portion of users, like almost anyone over 30 I would imagine.

They changed the name from FruityLoops so they would be perceived as more serious, but I wish they would actually get serious and offer a version that didn't give me a headache. Restricting your user base to only those with the very best eyesight doesn't seem very smart. All they need to do is make a higher contrast skin and a lot of people would be very happy.

I think FL got the main bits right; it's quite easy and intuitive, even efficient. Just a bit hard to read. My vote goes to "just sucks."

What do you think about the guy of FL Studio, i think it sucks big time and it has the sorsesd guy which can a host have, only sonicfoundry is wworse. At the end of the summer a friend has lent my cubase SX 1 which is developed in 2002, i´ve run it first time and i thought, poa oh my god what is this futorisitic studio, is this from the future or from aliens or another planet, the guy of cubase looks apsolute awesome and i think it´s changeable, too. The FL Studio guy looks like a old gameboy gamemenu and i every day i work with it my head hurts and i must take 2 or 3 asperins ! The guy is dark, monothonic, the knobs are small and the guy is EVEN not changeable at all. If you want change the playlist or pianoroll color to white like in cubase you can´t set the net between the notes ´cause it don´t change the colors. I´am really pissed of and think of jumping to another host, i like FL cause i can do my stuff very fast but i don´t go to the hosptal cause FL Stuio´s guy!!!

Yeah, I think you should switch hosts, 'cos you seem to spend most of the time bitching about FL one way or another and it's getting boring.

Voted best GUI (and guy). Btw, i think the gui of this particular poll is one of the worst - intermixing the good and bad haphazardly, instead of having a gradient from good to bad.

Anyoe from Imageline should look at this thread and think seriously what they do wrong, for me it would be just enough if i would can choose from let say 1 colorthemes and if i would can invert the pianoroll color and still see the net between the notes.
