The counterpoint to Tom LowPass, Tom HiPass is a simple resonant hi pass filter. It's efficient and it sounds good. Written in C++. Enjoy:

Thanks, spacedad. Notch and bandpass filters will be in the works soon, too, so keep an eye out for them...after that I'm planning a tabla instrument and a granulator...cheers,i like your gui's!
heh, neither...it's cut from an image of doorknobare the knobs made of chocolate or marble?

That's possible, although it should probably sound somewhat distorted, as what's being produced by converting an image into a .wav is basically just a sort of broad-spectrum noise. You might try converting the files from 24 bit into 16 bit though. If you'd like to hear what it's supposed to sound like, take a listen to the piece, Wasteland, at http://www.aetmos.com/ (also on iTunesbut i tried your img2wav program from your site.it made a distorted noise,is that cos i've only got onboard sound that only operates at 16bit,as i noticed your prog gives you 24bit wavs?
No problem. I hope you find them useful.anyway,i'll try the filters soon!thanks
be interesting to see what image Beethovan's 5th would generate....aetmos wrote: In theory, it's possible to take an audio file generated by img2wav, and convert it back into the image you started with. (edit) you just might come up with Beethoven's 5th...
