Hi All;
How do I record the tracks created.
This is a new post that originated from my attempts to us the sliders on the MIDI keyboard to mix the volume from of various tracks of Traction2(thank you for you help Subz).
I guess that's it...Do I apply a filter to the master output or is there away to direct the output to a file or device (CD burner).

unless I'm misunderstanding, i think the best way would be to record/automate your fader movements while mixing then render the edit to a wave file.

Accually what I am trying to accomplish is ti mix using the sliders on the MIDI keyboard just because it sounds like a fun way to mix.
Mabe it's counter productive (i dont know yet) but I'm stumpted as to how to save the mix. Is that what rendering is all about?

you should read the manual first
you see the little A next to the record button? its to record automation. to save a mix you can export or render

that part I got. So does arming the automation feature also automatically save the mix out somewhere (or is this also in the manual)?

Nope. But the automation will always playback as long as the automation playback button is enabled (it is, by default). Then you render the track and that's your "saving a mix". It's not automatically done as you do a mixdown.
If you want to do a mixdown and automatically have the results, you need a plug-in like TapeIt, which you can put on the master output area.

Thanks greg, please clearfy one thing. Rendering a track is a single track operation, yes.
So to render say two or three tracks with changeing levels of volume (from using automation or from manually affectig the volume) I understand that I can't render multiple tracks unless I assign the output of those tracks to the input of another track and then render that track (Not that I 've done that yet). Am I getting this correct or not?

You can render all tracks.
Look for the EXPORT button on the bottom left side.

Sorry, I dunno. I don't do OSX.
