Anyways, been a long time since I've been here. Haven't had time to produce in a very long time
Edit: I seem to have lost all of my post count since I was last here. I guess that's what happens when you used to post back in 2002 and the forum goes through upgrades
My question isn't about production, per se, but I am trying to do something with tools that everyone here would be familiar with.
All that I want to do is realtime processing. Basically, all we're talking about is running whatever my computer is producing through some plugins, and then out to my amps.
Here's the idea:

Note: I don't need audiophile grade sound quality. I just want to do some sound processing in my car, with a much more affordable sound card.
Apparently, you need a sound card that can do "internal routing", and this is only possible with a handful of really highend cards, or else you cannot take standard WDM output and re-route it as input for your ASIO software.
Is there absolutely no way that this can be done?
When I think of all the crazy things we do with samplers and synths, I can't comprehend how this cannot be done.
All that I want to do is process sound that is being "generated" by another Windows app, and apply some FX before it reaches the output.
Is there another way? Is Console the issue?
Thanks very much!
