Hi fhinspectit,
T2 and FLS are my combo of choice. I find (maybe like yourself?) the audio side of FLS a bit clumsy to use, but the midi side is superb, and vice versa with Tracktion, the audio side is great, but the midi is lacking imo. I don't use FLS as a vsti, or rewired in Tracktion, but this is a bonus if you want to use them this way.

This is how I use Tracktion, except i use Reason not FL. Tracktion is awesome for rewire stuff, and the audio is bar none the best I've used; and I've tried every single DAW that has a free trial. Which is nearly all of them.
