As a newbie starting with T2 i find two things not working the way i want them to.
I have assigned my Yamaha S90 via Midi and do a SysEx-Dump to store the Settings for sounds etc.
The data is recorded, i can see it in the editor.
Playing back seems improper, cause data is sent (lights flicker on the synth) but they don´s switch anything. The display reads still "Transferring bulk data" so it seems that a closing sequence in the SysEx is missing.
Can anyone confirm or tell me what i am doing wrong?
It works perfectly fine with my old Cubase VST, which i am trying to leave behind.....
How does recording in Loop mode with midi work?
I get all the data in one clip without having the chance zu choose which version i like best. The manual says it all about audio, but midi seems different. Anyone else?
If both things are just like they are, i will have to stick to my old VST, ......

I would hang on to your Cubase for storing patch data!! If it 'aint broke don't fix it.
Midi loop record isn't right yet...I hope they fix it too, but for now 'cause Im such a fanboy of the interface and workflow Im patient with fingers and toes crossed they sort it all out nice and proper!!!

I was afraid to hear that.
Seems that the midi part is still not taken serious by mackie.
I don´t think midi is old fashioned but a hybrid audio/midi approach will be standard for a long time still.
So without being able do control my synth, with no Midi Loop recording and with no stable midi export i´m not very sure my decision for T was a right thing.
If only Mackie would give some information about what next updates will bring.......
