A) so bad that Mesa and Vox want their names in no way associated with this product, and definitely don't want people thinking their amps sound like this,

B) so good that they're actually afraid that all hardware amps will lose their value, and don't want people to realize that this is a cheaper alternative.
Yeah, I picked A too. Line6 calls it the A-30. NI calls it the AC-Box. But now IK can't call it anything close to "Vox AC30", and can't even use the cloth pattern. What's up with that?
C) If we don't make any money out of it, why shouldn't we threaten with legal action?
After all they are paying Ampeg, we want some too.

Software is our enemy and we don't want any part of it.
I am kinda on the hardware manufacturers side.
Emulating your hardware is one thing, doing every trick in the book to cash in on your "brand recognition" that you built over the last 30 to 100 years is simply not right.
I think IK simply had it both ways.
We all know by now that the "blue one" is the VOX even though the final product will not have the "brand recognition" symbols........ maybe announcing the product 1 year ago was not a bad marketing decision after all.
