I write D'nB. Or Dn'B. Or D'n'B or whatever the f**k.
Except I really write it: on parchment 'n using a quill, in candlelight. I draw my treble clef and then scribble down dmm dmm tish tika tika dmm tish tika several times over. Then I write out the bassline on a seperate parchment. Then I chop everything up into small pieces and glue it all back together to get them mashup breaks.

Well, I don't know if I really got my point across. I was trying to say that, yeah, back in the day I used to get on my high horse along with the rest of DnB fans, but these days I really don't give a shit.Kriminal wrote: is it me, or are some ppl a bit touvhy about D+B![]()
of course, the humour of my original post may have been lost, seeing as it had to travel thru the sphincter and up their own arses to reach their 'brain'
Trust me, I knew exactly what you were trying to get across in your first post and did find it funny. What I find even better is that I've heard exactly the same arguments given in a serious tone about all forms of modern music
Trust me, I haven't been into DnB for 6 or 7 years now, I really do think it sounds like rehashed clones. Unlike the track "Clones"

The colour of the font of the preset that I'll use to make the sound.Kriminal wrote:chagzuki wrote:I write D'nB. Or Dn'B. Or D'n'B or whatever the fcuk.

Actually I was expecting a proper punchline in your post.Kriminal wrote: of course, the humour of my original post may have been lost, ...
Why do "musicians" make Drum & Bass?
They couldn't fit a piano in their bedroom.
They don't know how to play the guitar.
Tried to make trance, but couldn't get any good drugs.
Tried to make ambient, but kept getting bored.
Tried to make hip-hop, but sucked at it. (I think that this is the actual historical reason that the English invented D&B)
In the U.S. the only reason would be that they had a commission to do a car ad, in which case they'd add some really tasty stadium rock guitar licks.

How about ambient tracks using Marvin Gaye samples, Dave? I could see sticking some through Doppelmangler for example...Kriminal wrote:True, thats why i have evolved and moved onto ambient textures, and trax using Marvin Gaye samples (i kid ye notHunter wrote:
anyway the people who are really stuck in the past are the people doing 303 based dancey stuff)

and thus, another ground breaking genre emerged from KVR:ew wrote:How about ambient tracks using Marvin Gaye samples, Dave? "Gaye Ambient"
It was soon followed by the innovative
"Cash Bollocks", in which British people drew out Johnny Cash samples into 4 hour "textures"

I came home a while ago. Krim knew who he had in mind when making this.snooky wrote:just wait 'till the Chase gets 'ere
Every genre will have it's portion of teneric content. It's more a matter of getting over one's self than getting over the said generic content.

It a bit of the reverse. DnB producers tend to buy fruity because of it's drum programming capabilities.CypherOne wrote:it's a joke, there is a perception that FL users tend to make D&B, that's all.
