Why Do "Musicians" Make D+B ???

I write D'nB. Or Dn'B. Or D'n'B or whatever the f**k.


Except I really write it: on parchment 'n using a quill, in candlelight. I draw my treble clef and then scribble down dmm dmm tish tika tika dmm tish tika several times over. Then I write out the bassline on a seperate parchment. Then I chop everything up into small pieces and glue it all back together to get them mashup breaks.

Well, I don't know if I really got my point across. I was trying to say that, yeah, back in the day I used to get on my high horse along with the rest of DnB fans, but these days I really don't give a shit.

Trust me, I knew exactly what you were trying to get across in your first post and did find it funny. What I find even better is that I've heard exactly the same arguments given in a serious tone about all forms of modern music :)

Trust me, I haven't been into DnB for 6 or 7 years now, I really do think it sounds like rehashed clones. Unlike the track "Clones" :lol:

Actually I was expecting a proper punchline in your post.

Why do "musicians" make Drum & Bass?

They couldn't fit a piano in their bedroom.

They don't know how to play the guitar.

Tried to make trance, but couldn't get any good drugs.

Tried to make ambient, but kept getting bored.

Tried to make hip-hop, but sucked at it. (I think that this is the actual historical reason that the English invented D&B)

In the U.S. the only reason would be that they had a commission to do a car ad, in which case they'd add some really tasty stadium rock guitar licks.
