adding effects in T2 to a specific part of the track

These seem like awfully complicated solutions when you could just create a new track, move every fourth hit to that track, then add the dub delay to the track as usual.

I think we were typing at the same time.

Try the thing I posted just above there - doesn't involve cutting or pasting individual snare hits. It does work pretty cool - you can even trade out different snare sounds in the sampler if you like - or whatever sound you want to trigger - toss it in the sampler and the snare hits will trigger it.

heres a screen shot of the Stepchild solution.



By placing hits in stepchild you can pick out whichever 16th note hit you want echo'd. Obviously with stepchild's patterns you can create multi patterns of echos and busk these via a MIDI clip on track.

WOW! More support here than a 12 step program......I tried the simple copy, cut, paste to a new track method last night and it seemed to do the job for now. Being that I am such a novice at this, the rack ideas were way above my current understanding of traktion, I opened a rack and thought I was playing a video game. Everything I bring in to the software is recorded analog so I am not sure how the midi works in to the scheme but I am also a nin come poop. This is a great forum with lots of great ideas, thanks so much for the info.

You could also use Camelspace to gate and reverb certain steps.

Here's another screenshot showing all the blocks in the signal flow with their control screens locked.

Note how the Gband band pass is set to about the same range as the middle filter on the KT drum trigger module.

The sampler is loaded with a .wav made from the snare that I snipped out of the original loop.

The bionic delay is just a cool and simple delay that can lock to tempo and has some decent tape-warp effects.

I didn't post shots of the senderella plug screens since they use Tracktion's native GUI and only one of those can appear at a time - I saved it for the sampler.
