I'm wondering, if there are any plans, to make Tracktion sourround-capable?

Wondering...how hard would it be to code the outputs to assemble themselves into a geometric pattern based on the # of available outputs?
Off the top of my head that seems kinda out there, but it would be really cool: 3 output gives you a triangle, 4 gives you a square, 5 gives you a pentagon, etc...then, to be able to freely add or subtract from that shape, i.e. 8 outs - 1 for subs, 2 for external sends, leaving 5 in a pentagonal panning "sphere". It would definitely give you the most flexibility as far as future-proofing (5.1, 7.1, what have you). Only big drawback i can imagine right now is translating from one shape to another & saving automation data...
OK, my head hurts now.

I'm sure if they think there is a market for it, they'll do it, but I doubt you'll get any kind of official confirmation for if or when.Barbarossa wrote:I'm wondering, if there are any plans, to make Tracktion sourround-capable?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Yes it is a long term plan but honestly there are lots of other things that are more important to most users. We need to focus on features that will be of use to the most number of users as possible. It will happen eventually of course as that is the direction music is taking but other things will definitely come first.
