Hi everybody ,
I'm currently working on a
Mac G4/1,25/2GB Ram/OS X 1.3.9/LOGIC 6.4.3
and I usually have to work on (bigger) orchestral arrangements.
Since Receptor works now with the
EWQLSO Library (Platinum/Gold),
I would like to know
if there's anyone among you using
one of these Libraries with Receptor !??
My current system has even with the 16bit GOLD Edition
some problems , although I have a seperate fast
harddrive for the Library and Kompakt's DFD activated .
Does the GOLD Edition works smoothly with Receptor
( with bigger orchestral arrangements) ?
Are smaller orchestral arrangements are working
smoothly when using the 24bit PLATINUM edition ?
Dear guys out there,
maybe some of you know the answer to this ...
Thanks in davance for your help !
Gerd

Hey Gerd,
I've just put in the Gold version.
I haven't set-up any large arrangements yet, but will.
I don't use the DFD.
I do have 2 GB RAM
So far, sounds great and is problem free.
: )

hey guys...
currently i'm running the ewqlso platinum among four pc's each with 2gb of ram. just got my first receptor box last week. i'm gonna load the strings into it to test it out. should everything work smoothly, i'll get at least 3 more boxes after uniwire is up and running. right now i'm running fxteleport in the studio. going back to midi cables and audio connections between computers is not something i want to visit ever again. i think uniwire is heading in a great direction for composers and producers. i'll report back with my results in the next few days.
cheers

Hey man ,
I'm looking forward to your tests with
receptor and the platinum edition !
I would highly appreciate if you
could tell about your experiences with
this setup !!!
Like you I'm very excited about this upcoming
uniwire-feature.
If uniwire really works it will be truly a powerful tool
for us composers !
oh , ... by the way ... :
the best wishes for the new year to you and
of course to all the other people

Uniwire almost seems to good to be true. I'm concerned that with uniwire, while it's certainly convenient, that it may have a much slower data transfer rate than conventional mid cable/audio cable routing. If so, latency during tracking with sounds that have fast attacks may be troublesome. Does anybody have some insight into this? I'm I missing something?

Hi Gigster ,check out the Video from
the MUSIKMESSE in Frankfurt / Germany .
In the end of the Presentation something is
said about the latency ...
