2 Tracktion questions

Hi all,
It turns out I've forgotten one, so here's one Tracktion question:
I have a problem with a channel on which I'm using Tracktion's sampler - I cannot adjust the volume in the volume/pan filter. It seems to be stuck; if I move it, it wobbles around a bit but as soon as I release the mouse button it goes back to its original position.
Any thoughts? Obviously I can adjust the volume of each sample within the sampler but that's a fairly tedious workaround.....

Is it possible to have automation on a track and it not show up as a line? I don't remember automating this track (started it a long time ago....) and there is no automation line visible.
I will try putting a second vol/pan filter in series, good idea.

Thanks everyone.
It will be the "delete region" function what's done me up like a proverbial kipper.
Mischievous midgets......
Momentarily meddling with my minimalist musical melodies.....

[Edited. Added info for future problemsolving for newbies.]
Looks like it's solved, but anyway: when the tracks seem to have a will of their own when they really shouldn't it may be that you've accidentally had the "automation write" button pressed. Check for active automation lines in the automation drop-down meny to see if you've accidentally recorded automation. The "Automation write" button is off when it's white.

Widgets, not midgets. And the leprechauns are all over in cubase's camp. As for the gnomes... well, you don't really want to know...kL wrote:But what if they're replaced by dwarves, gnomes, leprechauns, or even mischievious midgets? What then?

I found this to be a problem myself and after frying my cat, I checked on the setings of my ASIO. It appears that if your track (mine were all audio) was taken from a differnt device (I use a Zoom) the sample rate has to be set corectly, or your out of luck. I readjusted mine, and now it works. Hope this helps, I'm new at this BTY.
