is there any way to get a general midi using onboard synth to go to wav without rerouting it through the soundcard and mixer and recording it..
have used ntrack and it just dumps it over into a wav...boom..your finished...i know t will do it for vst stuff..but what if i decided to just use the midi piano on my sound card....since it won't export general midi..only vst..or straight midi swquences...

I don't believe there is any way to do this other than recording it in real time as you describe. just make sure i do everything in vst or samples...and not worry about it...if i really need to do gm...do it in ntrack....have not done much midi...have a maudio usb keyboard coming...am ready to give it a rip..
