Nuendo to Tracktion

About 1 year after moving from Nuendo to Tracktion, I just got back from a Nuendo recording session tonight. All I could keep thinking was, so much time was wasted on the lame workflow in Nuendo, and not one thing we did required anything that Tracktion couldn't do.

I convinced the engineer to try Tracktion for his own projects...can anyone advise on the easiest way to move projects from Nuendo to Tracktion? I don't think it has the feature to export each track like T2 does...

Anyway, kudos again to the Tracktion team, I see now even more clearly than before how well T2 holds up to software costing 20X more...

I think you should be able to create macros in Nuendo that will do sort of what the function you refer to in Tracktion does. Don´t know more about it though, maybe try the nuendo forums for that one.

Moving from Cubase to Tracktion I agree totally with you on the workflow...

When I tried to export multiple files from Nuendo, it overwrote them all based on the first track selected (i.e. export bass.wav over and over again). I gave up and exported each track seperately. Needless to say I only did this for a handful of projects.

I have an older version of Nuendo so this is probably fixed by now... just select all tracks, cross your fingers and export.

In Cubase (Nuendo's little brother) you can BOUNCE each track, which creates a new WAVE for the entire track. I imported those Bounced WAV files into Tracktion. All the Inserts and Sends had to be re-done in Tracktion though.

Sure, but I think he was hoping for a way it could be done for all tracks at once. There's GOT to be a way... you could Google for Nuendo macros to see what you come up with.
