again that is my entire point...and instead people skip it....working by myself with sequencers and drum macines I have gotten quite use to all the parts being in time...therefore I am in time....when playing with live musicians I sometimes have problems and get flustered (not fall apart, stop playing or even letting it be heard) when the drummer lets me lead him, it throws me off because I have gotten use to the rhythm section being rock solid.Pouckypluysch wrote:It's more dependant on the timing than on the tempo, I think. It's possible to keep a groove working even when the tempo is floating.Hink wrote:isn't the groove completely dependant on the timing and the tempo there of?
But then again, steady timing is easier with a steady tempo. To get that, all band members should keep a steady tempo, not only the drummer.
Not aimed at you Pouckypluysch, I agree with you...but I do not see how that is off the topic of the thread, not valid, or my problem....or how anyone can not understand what I'm saying and turn it into something completely unrealistic and off base.
