Problem is some of the controllers are used just to output stuff, and you wouldn't usually automate them. So the example would just show what I made using them
some more MIDI plugins...

I've been meaning to get some action in with proximity pad and a few others since I got my new fcb1010 (behringer midi foot controller) first I had to make my own plugin for using it though

hey soma,Hey Note cycler does pretty much the same thing as my note table... seeing as yours is finished I'll discontinue mine alpha (only the one I did can cycle forward, back, ping pong, or random. and you can set the steps in teh cycle... but anyway.)
i just checked out 'note table' and the random function is exactly somthing that i've been looking for for a long time. just wondering if there is any way to stop the midi thru note ie. when i play a note, the original and the tabled note both sound. i would be great just to hear the tabled note.
cheers,
bov

Hey soma , thanks for the proximity pad update
It's growing nicely and I hardly could resist making a bank of presets for it .
There's something strange about it though - I think I discovered something weird about if the noise generators are used and the presets somehow get f'ed up (I could reproduce some weirdness when setting something up using sine oscillators and then switching to a noise osci and then back , where the former setup completely changed ).The noise oscs also have too high cpu useage :/ (always at 100% load , so quite unuseable, maybe something to get rid of, or optimize), but I don't bother about them too much TBH .
I'd have posted the bank , but I haven't yet found a way to store the presets persistently without having different results after each time having saved or sometimes after just some preset being changed - which seems to f up other presets or the config in general .
The smoothness value isn't store as of yet , just to have this mentioned as well
Good work though , I can see more use of it once I can be sure that preset saving works accurately .

Oh that's a terrible bug! I'll smash it in the next version.bovinator wrote:hey soma,Hey Note cycler does pretty much the same thing as my note table... seeing as yours is finished I'll discontinue mine alpha (only the one I did can cycle forward, back, ping pong, or random. and you can set the steps in teh cycle... but anyway.)

Thanks when I update I'll include the bank as the default.plastique wrote:Hey soma , thanks for the proximity pad update![]()

What exactly happens? Is it the relation between the x/y osc timing. e.g if you have two sines it makes a circle but if the timing shifts it can go to an oval or even a diagonal line. If that's the problem I can easily set a sync when switching osc shapes. There's something strange about it though - I think I discovered something weird about if the noise generators are used and the presets somehow get f'ed up (I could reproduce some weirdness when setting something up using sine oscillators and then switching to a noise osc and then back , where the former setup completely changed ).
Yeah I put a big warning about that in the description. It's not actually the noise osc but the rate at which the CC's are changing. It's main reason I put in smoothing control and sample and hold. If you sample and hold a noise osc or smooth it out bu about 40 (ms) then you should have pretty normal CPU usage. And it has a more musical movement. If your cpu starts to go high on a noise osc, fly your mouse over to the on/off button quickly! The noise oscs also have too high cpu usage :/ (always at 100% load , so quite unusable, maybe something to get rid of, or optimize), but I don't bother about them too much TBH .
Yeah I made the smooth a universal attribute. Would it make more sense to have it recognize patch changes?I'd have posted the bank , but I haven't yet found a way to store the presets persistently without having different results after each time having saved or sometimes after just some preset being changed - which seems to f up other presets or the config in general .

I'm not sure what happens , it's like if the x/y values are mixed up sometimes after I used a noise lfo .soma wrote: What exactly happens? Maybe it could be somehow garanteed that the lfo shape (aka shape of movement) stays the same for a preset ? As of now it's a bit unpredictable how the shape looks like after saving (not for all presets I made though , just for a few , but most of the times it happens after I tried a noise lfo and then back and the shape changed .
It could be a different reason as well , maybe some global prameter setting ...
I dunno if syncing helps but I'll give it a test if you want me to try it .
I think it could be a benefit to adjust this per preset (you can still use just the one value after all anyway)soma wrote: Yeah I made the smooth a universal attribute. Would it make more sense to have it recognize patch changes?

Actually, I just re-read this, and it would be an excellent tool in Live!
Could you make it?
Thanks!

P.S. - Some midi plugs like Chordspace work in Live.
I'm gonna try to route some of yours to midiyoke and back into Live to see if I can get that to work.
