I just uploaded a new song to the Internet Archive. It's an epic rock song about the brilliant mathematician Ramanujan.

As a bit of an experiment, I decided to release this song under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, and make the entire Tracktion archive available for download. I know that often, when I hear other songs, I wish I could "look under the hood" and see how the songwriter did this or that. So I've decided to start a new precedent, and make my full Tracktion archive available. This will make it possible for people to analyze, re-record, remix, or reuse the various tracks.
The Tracktion archive uses only free plug-ins (the builtins, plus Anwida DX Reverb Light and Kjaerhus Classic EQ), so it should work on just about any system. I tried to organize the tracks and include plenty of comments in the track names to make it easy for anyone to understand how the tracktion edit is organized.
I hope this will inspire others to do the same.

Select the "Instrumental Mix" and the twelve tracks beneath it (which all redirect to the Instrumental Mix track for processing), and render. This should save you loads of CPU, cutting down to about 11 active tracks, and eliminating a couple of filters.gabo wrote:It is a big project:-)
My CPU usage was about 100% when I tried to play all tracks one time.
Obviously, there are other combinations of tracks that could be rendered into one track as well (such as the harmony tracks), but I think combining all the tracks that are funneling into Instrumental Mix will have the most dramatic effect.
I tried to leave as many things separate as possible, to make it easy to tweak the balance of the various components. It didn't occur to me that this might cause CPU overload on some computers. Sorry about that.
