Nope it didn't at all. It actually made it a bit worse. I did that miditest.exe aswell and it says my clocks went out of sync after such and such,. and it reccomended that I do not use the emulated device and that I do not use system timestamp.

I did this and the lexicon emulated driver was still in the list. He is incorrect.Go into the SX directory folder in program files and re-name the "midi port enabler" folder to something else...like "ports".
This will not allow SX to use the emulateded driver ports and allow you to select another.(ofcoarse restart SX after re-name)

My tech guy was NOT incorrect,he didn`t say they would be removed from the list, but that re-naming/removing(as Trevor also recommended),would allow a user to select an unselectable non-emulated driver...leaving the emulated drivers un-selectable.

I`m sure your really frustrated..but don`t cop an attitude here,i`m really trying to help you out.
My tech friend has been selling high end studio gear for at least 10 yrs and is an assistant engineer in a recording studio. He`s quite knowledgable.
It appears now,you have a few options left;
-try the omega from another usb port
-re-install SX
-re-install the Lex driver(s)
-try the omega on another pc with sx(if that works,it points to the onboard usb)
-pick up a separate usb board and try that in your pc with the omega
-get/borrow/steal another usb midi interface to rule the omega in or out
-if all points to the omega, pickup another one.(if you can bring your pc into an omega dealership and let them see the prob while swapping in a new omega.
This prob is not gererated by SX,unless it didn`t install properly with all the proper defaulted settings.
I feel it is a hardware prob...your pc or the omega.

I wasn't giving you attitude. I have tried the emulated/unemulated etc thing many times. It is out of sync on the emulated device. It is out of sync on the unemulated device. It is out of sync no matter how many times i have reinstalled my drivers. I have reinstalled sx twice and even tried using an older version.
With my lexicon in other usb ports it is still out of sync.
Your tech friend is correct, as this is the same advice I have been given everywhere else. It obviously works for most people. It just doesn't work on mine.
I'm just going to have to user a smaller quantize setting and shift things around a bit.
I don't think it is my omega that is the problem- as I have googled and found noone else with an omega that suffers this porblem. It is probably just my computer.
Thanks again for your help
p.s. are there any omega dealerships in australia.
