While messing with this idea:

I realized that it would be great if the tracktion sampler could import samples from the arrange window. You could import a loop into track 1 and then cut it up and drag the cut clips into the tracktion sampler, perhaps even dragging it onto the key of choice and having options for velocity layer and keyrange.
If this were reality then it would be very easy to create native sample banks that would be as easily shareable amongst T users as sf2s are among the general computer muzis populace.
Of course this is not as urgent as some other FRs, but I thought I might throw it out there.

Seems like Lunch Money showed how to do this back 6 months or so ago - you can drag clips split from a single loop to the sampler in some fashion, I just forgot how to do it. It was a thread I thought should be pinned but it wasn't.
One small problem is that T's sampler doesn't do velocity layers, so that much of your idea wouldn't go - unless there is an update to the sampler coming along?

I *think* you just lock the sampler gui in the context sensitive bit at the bottom of the screen, by clicking the little padlock icon, and then drag the clip from the timeline onto the tracktion sampler gui in the context sensitive area, and that puts the clip in there. You might need to drag it onto the list of samples on the left or something like that.
You can definitely do it, i'm just at work, and can't properly remember how. Think the padlock is the key.

Haven't got it to drag and drop, but this works:
1. Put your loop on a track as a clip.
2. Put T's sampler in as a plugin
3. Split clip to heart's desire on beats.
4. Highlight individual clips and Ctrl-C
5. Click on sampler - Ctrl-V
6. Set key range for that clip in T's sampler, set pan volume for clip, rename clip if you like in the sampler
7. repeat 1-6.
8. Breakbeat to your heart's desire.

Yeah, that was it, copy and paste shortcut keys.
Clicking the padlock on the sampler gui also helps because it means the context sensitive bit doesn't change to the clip's properties when you click on the clips you want to copy+paste. Which would mean you'd then need to click on the sampler plugin to get it's gui back up again.

I don't have the thread bookmarked, but you should be able to find it the way I do, by "search"ing for "beatslicing" as the keyword and "lunch*" in the member name field. 
It must've been copy+paste that I was doing, but it was butt-simple. The only part that I found a pain was that each new sample gets added as Middle-C with a 3-octave (or was it 2-octave?) range. No one-shot mode. Adding a one-shot mode would have cut down beatslicing a loop into a 2-minute job from start to end.
