Hey, Asha...

Here's what's going to "sell" me, so to speak...was the music on the video recorded, composed, etc, in T2 exclusively??

THAT would be a nice blurg that would make this A++ 100% video have, um, "extra credit" so to speak.

Thanks a lot for this,

- A/L

Very nice, but as an “actual” (not “if-I-was-a”) Tracktion beginner, I must say it all went by too fast to be useful as a teaching device; more of a promo piece, I guess. Is that your intention? Thanks, tho! It was a treat as that...
And I’d love to know more about the QuickTime video example you used at the end to demo scoring; looks very intriguing. I’d like to see more of whatever that was. Is that something you created, too?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone! Happy to hear you like it! :)

Yes, I compose, mix and master my songs in T2. I started out using Tracktion as a musical sketchpad but have come to do everything in it. Maybe when I get into the mastering part some more I will use an external audioeditor for that. But T2 is really the most inspiring sequenser out there!

David: Thanks! Yes, the intention was sort of a quick looktrough of the workflow and features. At first I made it just to show some friends the new T2-features but, quite happy with the result, I added a little more to it and put it out here at Kvr. I should add that I don´t make any money or anything from this. Just pure T2 love! :)

By the way the movie part is from some TV-show so it´s not my piece. Wish it was though... :)

Awesome video, Asha.

Yours makes Mackie's look amateurish.

Great screen flow, fantastic music, an all out great piece of work.

Now for the hard part...

I must keep trying to record a MIDI track via Tracktion 2 and send it to my Motif ES and Virus KC...I'm such a Newbie! :hihi:

Cheers!

nice. it seems more like a sales brochure than an instructional video, however.

I don't think the point WAS to be instructional, per se...the "flashiness" of a sales-oriented vid like this, though can't "hurt the cause", though, can it?

And remember that Aaha's not making any money from this...though I WOULD personally but a downloadable tutorial video set. I bought one on DVD for Sonar and Cubase and look - I'm back to Tracktion, anyway.

It'd probably sell a lot since T2 is more oriented to the user to get good results quickly bs studying in-depth features for major production techniques and thus may attract more ofa "newbie" crowd than other hosts would. I studied Sonar for months when I finally gave up - and I have computer degree, too.

Kewl video! Not terribly instructional, but definitely inspirational. Dig the downtempo digifunk, too.

Still, I gotta vent about the codec. Sorry. Yet another weird codec nobody's ever heard of and isn't supported by any known player? Too bad I couldn't make the video work in WinAmp -- after using Ozone Free, everything else sounds like digitized shit.

Ah, well. It was worth the ten seconds it took to download Media Player Classic.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!
