new with midi

well for as long as ive been around (old school)i have done everything..analog...never even tried to do anything with midi...so now im jumping in and hope i can get as much help as possible...how do i do this..(set up) ih ave 2 echo layla's (midi), keyboard with midi capabilities. T2..im trying to figure out how to use sampletank and the other various plug ins that came with the T2 bundle. I know there are probably some out there thinking how could anyone not have ever done this..well here i am! any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
